We had a great time with Gaby and Lalo during Memorial Day weekend. It was a little adventure. First, as soon as we picked them up from the airport we kept on driving to Sedona (about 1 1/2 hours away) along with our friends Fernando, Ceci , Vicky (Dany's friend), and David (Lucy & Cristy's friend). We started with great food at a Mexican Restaurant. We stayed at a Best western Villa right by all the shops and the creek. Dany and Vicky could not stop playing and smiling. It was so relaxing. We had some of the meals at the villa and it was like having a vacation home. The babies did great playing and sleeping. We all got to see a lot of nature and stuff at the shops. Dany loved playing with Lalo. The girls knew right away that Gaby and Lalo were family and that they were available to hold them. Lucy would just see Gaby and she would smile and raise her arms up and down like a bird asking her to pick her up. Cristy is more independent but she would ask them to hold her too. After the holiday weekend we came back to Phoenix. We had time to relax, visit Ceci and Fernando at their home, and do some shopping and BBQ. It was very sad for all of us to say good bye to Gaby and Lalo. We wish they would live here in Phoenix. But later it was very funy to see Lucy ask Gaby to pick her up over the phone. She knows her voice but she doesn't know that she is far away. It was a nice vacation.
