Our kids got sick

Monday after fathers day Dany had a fever and his throat hurt. Olivia took him to a Pediatric urgent care and they took care of them quite fast. Dany tested positive for strep throat. The next day the girls started to feel bad and the pediatrician asked us to keep and eye on them. By Wednesday night, Phillip had to stay home with Dany that wasn't feeling well yet and Olivia had to take both girls to the urgent care. It was great service but there was a lot of crying. Cristy had just a light fever and normally is very independent but when she is sick she wants to be held 24/7. Lucy had a fever of 102 and it was obvious on her throat that she hat the strep throat too. The funny thing is that Cristy tested positive and Lucy tested negative. Anyway, even the doctor helped by taking Cristy to get the prescription while Olivia and the nurse gave Lucy some Motrin to take down the fever. For a few days Dany and Lucy were sleeping more but Cristy didn't want to sleep or drink her bottle. She just wanted to be held all the time. Needles to say, there was a lot of crying. Now we are just happy that everybody is feeling better. We are so grateful this is finally over. We are also grateful that only the kids got sick. As a mom, Olivia often prays for patience but, by the end she would pray "No more opportunities to exercise patience please! Just a little break!"
