California Trip

We had a great time in California. The trip was very nice getting there (only 20 minutes of crying for the whole ride), not so nice getting back but over all the girls and Dany did great traveling. We spent time at Disneyland, the Beach, and visiting the Gillins (Phillip's sister). Dany loved almost all the rides but he refused to get in the Pirates of the Caribbean. Apparently he remembers more than we think and he knew what he wanted to do and what he wanted to stay away from. The girls enjoyed many of the rides but they didn't like the dark areas. We made a few new friends at the park and we run into some friends from church too. It was a lot of work but fun. All three kids slept very well at the hotel. The girls were so happy each time they found a bed! Poor little things... The time at the beach was short, nice, and full of action. We were taking pictures and a big wave came and wash over our girls and Dany's sand castle. Dany was very sad until Olivia reminded Dany that Curious George had the same problem and Olivia build a new castle. But that was the small problem. The big one was Lucy's diaper. She had a poop that started to run out with the water from the wave and let me tell you... changing a diaper with a bottom full of the "usual" plus sand it's not fun for the kid or the mom. Anyway, we ended our vacation with a visit to the Gillins and as usual Dany loved spending time with his cousins and it was hard to get him out of there after a short visit. Too bad the Gillins are always so busy. We would have love to spend more time with them. Maybe next time...
